# Virumo

> Virumo is a legal IPTV player for Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV, with a touch layout for Android phones, tablets and foldables. It plays the playlist you bring: it includes no channels, no lists and no links.

## What it is

Virumo is a player, not a source. It contains no channels, in the same way a web browser contains no websites. You connect an M3U or M3U8 playlist link, or an Xtream Codes login (server, username, password), from a provider you are entitled to use. Programme guides load from XMLTV or from an Xtream panel.

Platforms: Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV (Fire OS 6 and later), and Android phones, tablets and foldables, from one app. Android 7.1 (API 25) and later. Fire OS 5 devices cannot install it. Designed with low-memory Fire TV sticks in mind.

Status: in testing. Virumo is installed by sideloading; there is no store listing yet.

What the app does: live TV with channel groups and quick zapping; a programme guide; live rewind and pause on channels streamed as MPEG-TS; films and series from the provider's on-demand library; search across channels, films and series; Continue Watching; favourites; subtitle and audio track selection; an encrypted backup and restore; a connection buffer choice; a speed tester and a stream quality readout; accessibility settings; and a touch layout with double-tap seek and touch lock. Video is played by the device's own hardware decoder: what you see in 4K or HDR depends on your device, your TV and your provider's stream.

Free and Premium: the core player works without paying. Some features are Premium: more than one playlist, extra logins for a provider, unlimited favourites, sort and filter, the full Continue Watching list, the full 48-hour guide and past programmes, catch-up where the provider keeps an archive, the full live-rewind buffer, subtitle and audio language defaults, all three themes, Multiview (up to four at once), picture-in-picture on phones and tablets, background play, and recording (coming). Premium is planned as a one-off unlock code for one device. No subscription is planned, no accounts, no sign-in. A code is tied to the device it was issued for; a factory reset needs a re-issued code; a backup restored on another device does not carry the unlock. Price and how to buy have not been announced.

## Facts

- Virumo has no account system and the app collects no personal data. Credentials stay on the device in its encrypted keystore. There is no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting in the app.
- Virumo asks only for the permissions playback needs: the internet, and a notification so background audio can keep playing.
- Live rewind works only on channels streamed as MPEG-TS; HLS channels play normally but cannot be rewound yet.
- Virumo is not on Google Play or the Amazon Appstore; store listings are planned.
- This website collects no personal data: no forms, no accounts, no analytics. This site sets no cookies of its own.
- Virumo does not provide, host, index, sell, recommend or link to channels or content.
